A day in my work life
I work on different projects simultaneously and pivot between these and new ones. But what does a day in my work life look like?

Gerhard begins the day early, reviewing the schedule and setting priorities. Over a cup of coffee, Gerhard checks emails, Slack messages, and updates from project team members, ensuring all communication is acknowledged and noting urgent tasks. Gerhard attends a brief team meeting on Zoom to touch base with the project group, focusing on the current status of various learning modules under development. Gerhard uses assertive communication to flag delays to contribute to a high-performance environment. Responding to a message from leadership, Gerhard provides an update on the new safety training module, tailoring the message to highlight progress and align with the stakeholder's interest in innovative engagement techniques. Diving into content creation, Gerhard integrates real-world situations into a module by storyboarding for a course on project management, ensuring the scenarios are authentic and relatable. Feedback from a recent team evaluation leads Gerhard to refine the content, focusing on inclusive language and diverse representation. Gerhard reaches out via email and Slack to external consultants and SMEs, discussing the inclusion of WCAG-compliant elements like alt-text and transcripts. Communication is clear and concise, ensuring external partners understand the requirements and deadlines. Back at his desk after lunch, Gerhard presents his work on creating an AI chat bot, highlighting prompt engineering gems to to create an engaging AI assistant. After that he switches to Rise, leveraging multimedia and interactive assessments to increase learner retention and application of knowledge. Dedicated time for personal growth sees Gerhard participating in a webinar on intercultural competence, ensuring continuous improvement in creating content that respects and values cultural differences. Gerhard conducts a final check of emails and project updates, communicates the next day's priorities to the team, and updates the project management tools with the day’s progress. Before leaving, Gerhard sends a status update to the line manager, confirming that all is on track and noting any potential concerns.
